Race Analytics

One of the most import things that we have been able to bring to Radical for their product development, and for their testing and driver training, is our Race Studio 3 Analysis software that uses all the data files captured by our hardware and displays it in our software.

They are able to overlay different laps/runs of data that can include any CAN channels or readings for various different sensor types, combined with synced video footage captured from our SmartyCams to understand how different changes to either the vehicle or driver inputs affect the overall performance / lap time of the vehicle

SmartyCam Integration

Radical’s commitment to innovation doesn’t stop at engine performance. Each car in the new line-up is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring that drivers have access to the tools they need to extract every ounce of performance from their vehicle.

All models are fitted with a variety of Aim products some featuring the Aim MXS display logger unit, providing a comprehensive digital dashboard using a 5” screen, an integrated shift array, compatibility with 100+ industry ECUs and more, allowing drivers to keep their eyes on the road while accessing vital data at a glance. The built-in data logging capability is a game-changer, enabling racers to track and analyse their performance with pinpoint accuracy.

Additionally, the cars come with the revolutionary SmartyCam 3. With GPS functionality, mic-inputs, logging abilities and picture-in-picture analysis, drivers can record and review their laps, enhancing their performance by learning from every corner and straight. This advanced system offers an unprecedented level of insight, making it easier than ever to refine your racing technique.

For those models equipped with the Aim Formula Steering Wheel 4, drivers can expect even more cutting-edge features. With its integral LCD display, lightweight shift paddles, and on-wheel switching for a fully immersive and responsive experience, the Formula Steering Wheel offers complete control at your fingertips, ensuring that no moment is wasted during your time on the track. Each function is meticulously designed to optimise every racing moment, offering the driver a seamless experience.

Radical also use Aim CAN bus keypads for controlling and turning on and off various components on the car such as lights, starter motor ignition etc, the Tyre Temperature and Pressure Monitoring System, “TTPMS,” that monitors tyre pressure and temperature that is then displayed on the dashes and the data is logged internally for post-session analysis. They also use Aim Laser Ride Height sensors that are essential in understanding what various chassis changes do to the behaviour of the car in different scenarios.
