Aim Advanced Power Distribution Module Kits
In the past traditional fuse and relay systems were used to distribute and control vehicle electrical circuits. This old method was cumbersome, heavy and sometimes difficult to diagnose problems. This can now be a thing of the past when you use our Advanced PDM Modules (Power Distribution Modules).
Vehicle Power Distribution Just Got a Whole Lot Easier!
By replacing your old conventional relays, circuit breakers and wiring, then replacing with an Aim PDM (Power Distribution Module), you would be simplifying the wiring harness, saving time, weight, and improving reliability.
Both Aim Advanced PDM08 and PDM32, are engineered using lightweight anodized billet aluminum cases, specifically designed to stand the rigours of the Motorsport environment. Sleek and stylish, they are easy to fit into most vehicles, allowing you to simplify your wiring harness and electronics installation, whilst providing much more control of your vehicle power distribution installation.
Introducing… Aim Advanced PDM Modules
In the past traditional fuse and relay systems were used to distribute and control vehicle electrical circuits. This old method was cumbersome, weighty and sometimes difficult to diagnose problems. This can now be a thing of the past, when you use our Advanced PDM Modules (Power Distribution Modules).
AIM PDM32 AND PDM08 ARE ALSO POWERFUL DATA LOGGERS !
Our Smart, easy installable PDM 32 and PDM08 Modules, offer a simple, highly controllable power wiring solution but with some seriously major advantages. Both Aim PDM modules are Data Loggers. This means they connect and read data from your ECU (Engine Control Unit), allowing you greater control over the whole vehicle power distribution network.
An Advanced PDM Kit That Does it All!
FLEXIBILITY – AVAILABLE IN 4 CONFIGURATIONS
Built in Safety When Racing Goes Wrong…
Safety in all aspects of Racing and Road driving, is of paramount importance. Aim Advanced PDM Modules allow you to to pre-configure aspects of the vehicle power supply to ‘switch off ‘ in given conditions, for example, in an accident or impact. This is a positive safety feature, particularly in Motorsport, as it protects the driver from potential spilt fuel ignition.
PDM32 features two analog camera inputs that allow you to swap your display into a mirror camera either at the press of a button, or most commonly, through configurable event logic-reverse gear.
The PDMs offer four different Power Outputs Levels: Each output provides status feedback for open circuit, short circuit, high temperature, over current, under voltage and over voltage
Inrush current, number of fault retries and the time between retries are all definable.
All the outputs may be configurable as PWM and allow soft start/stop.
For every output, a multicolor LED shows the status:
- Activated or not
CONTROL ALL YOUR POWER OUTPUTS
Race Studio 3 Software (Included with the PDM Pack), offers a clear visual interface, to configure all your power outputs. This gives you a lot of flexability with any vehicle wiring installations.
For example, the Wiper may be managed by the LIN connection or using the Half Bridges.
In this case, you may take advantage by a virtual object like the following one:
If configured as Analog inputs, it is possible to activate an internal 2K Ohm resistor, for connecting most of the sensors directly.
If configured as Digital Inputs, it is possible to activate a 10K Ohm Pull Up or a 10K Ohm Pull Down.
Powerful Data Management
The PDMs receive, use and record data from:
- ECU: more than 1,000 protocols available
- Digital/Analog inputs
- Internal 9 axis EMU
- GPS: position and Lap Time
- Pushbuttons, from RIO02 Module or from any commercial CAN keypad, thanks to the simple configurability of the CAN protocols
- All the currents and status of all the power outputs
- Other user defined math channels
An internal datalogger is available, capable of recording all the analog inputs, digital inputs, ECU channels, GPS values, Currents, status of all the Power Outputs. Here an example of what the recorded data may show, during engine cranking.
- In red, the ignition pushbutton
- In blue, the battery voltage drop
- In purple, the current absorbed by the solenoid
- In dark green, the current absorbed by the fuel pump
- In green, RPM Value
GPS INCLUDED WITH AIM PDM’S
PDMs come with 4,000 tracks in their database and automatically select the one you are driving on.
Aim GPS samples ten times per second position, speed and lateral/in-line acceleration at any point of the track and is more precise than most of the existing GPS systems, as it has been designed to add to the GPS satellite’s signal the Global Navigation Satellite (Glonass) system’s signal.
With an average of almost twenty satellites working in conjunction, GPS08 guarantees a precision and a reliability simply not comparable to the old generation GPS systems.
NO OTHER COMPARIBLE PDMS, COME WITH STUNNING DISPLAYS
