MXP Motorcycle Dash Display

MXP Motorcycle Dash Display

A wide range of data sources

The MXP Motorcycle Dash Display offers 50% more display area than the 5” MXS display, in a similar dimension. The dash logger has an integrated shift array, configurable multicolor alarms, drag and drop multi page configuration, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, GPS Module, inertial platform, analog and digital inputs, digital outputs, Motorsport connectors, 4 GB of internal memory, 1,000Hz per channel sampling and support for over 1,000 ECU connections.

MXP Motorcycle Dash Display samples data coming from your ECU, the GPS Module, the 9 axis inertial platform (accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer), 8 fully configurable analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, predefined math channels and second CAN. Performance and data acquired can also be incremented adding up to eight expansion modules.

MXP is also available in its STRADA version, a dash for road use, with similar characteristics but without logging feature.

Freely configurable pages

You can define all the custom pages you wish, choosing among a wide library of page styles, defining which data to be shown, their end of scale and measure units. Swapping between pages can be managed pushing one or two push buttons.

High Contrast TFT Display

MXP Motorcycle Dash Display features a high contrast TFT display: its visual quality is always optimal as its ambient light sensor keeps the back light at the best brightness levels. The dash is of course available also in the “Street Icons” version (fuel, oil, water temp etc.)

Flexible alarms & custom street icons

MXP Motorcycle Dash Display features five configurable RGB alarm LED’s. You choose the conditions, you choose the colours.  Select a solid alarm or flashing one – and the flashing frequency, choose to have an accompanying text message, and set the alarm priorities. Select then the street icons you need among the wide list you will find in “Race Studio 3 – Icons Management” and set them up the way you prefer or according with your needs. Any of them is fully configurable and if this shouldn’t be enough, you will be able to upload and set up your own customised icons.

Two Digital Outputs

MXP features two digital outputs. The two digital outputs (Dout) are LOW SIDE type (switch to ground): they can be configured in order  to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analog or digital inputs. They permit to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.

Camera inputs, also for mirror camera

Two analog camera inputs are available, to swap your display into a mirror camera, through pushbutton command or event management.

MXS Strada Flexible Alarms

Integrated shift light array

Choose from a host of advanced multicoloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customised as you like and also for each unique gear when required.

GPS Module

Thanks to GPS05 Module (included in the kit) and its GPS Manager software, you can immediately get laptimes and all data needed for engine tuning as well as for improving driving technique

Channel Expansion It permits to add 4 0-5Volt analog channels for pressure, temperature sensors and potentiometers. Two of these channels can be configured to receive digital inputs like wheel speed.

Channel Expansion
It permits to add 4 0-5Volt analog channels for pressure, temperature sensors and potentiometers. Two of these channels can be configured to receive digital inputs like wheel speed.

TC Hub
It adds 4 K thermocouples.

LCU-One Lambda Controller

Wide band Lambda controller LCU-One, with Bosch LSU 4.9 probe, providing all Air/Fuel data, lambda value and exhaust gas temperature, allows to perfectly tune the carburetion.

Memory Module
Thanks to the SD Card, Memory Module can record all your data in a file that can be downloaded on your PC for post-analysis. Memory Module, with 16Gb capability, can be connected via CAN-Bus to MXL2 and to all AiM loggers.

SmartyCam HD cameras
The on-board cameras that overlays on videos the data sampled by your logger.

Race Studio 3

Race Studio 3 is the heart of your MXP managing all your racing activities.

Configuration

With Race Studio 3 you can create, modify, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math channels, Display Pages, Digital outputs, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need. You will also be able to manage the map of all your racing tracks and compare two laps watching the video recorded by SmartyCam HD cameras.

RS3 Analysis

Analysis

With Race Studio 3 you can also analyse all data recorded by MXP and downloaded to your PC: graphs, histograms and tables will help you study your performance, providing an objective support to avoid mistakes and improve performances.

A wide range of data sources

MXP is the dash logger designed to acquire and display data coming from your ECU, the internal accelerometer and gyro, as well as from the GPS08 Module included in the kit, analog/digital inputs and predefined math channels. Performance and data acquired can also be incremented adding up to eight expansion modules. Its 7″ display makes it perfect for wide cockpits installation.

Wide range of data sources

Analog Digital Inputs

MXL2 has eight analog inputs, recorded up to 1000 times per second each. You can connect and monitor all kinds of sensors, like:

Ratiometric potentiometers
Pressure sensors
Thermo-resistances
K-type thermocouple and many others, all your custom sensors included.

Features six digital inputs

Four speed signals – It can receive the speed signal from the ECU, from the GPS and from the four wheel sensors.

  • RPM – can receive the RPM signal from the ECU or from a digital input connected to a square wave signal (8 to 50 V) or to a low voltage (from 150 to 400 V) of the coil.
  • Lap signal – Lap and split times are sampled by the GPS (included in the kit) or via optical receiver/transmitter.

GPS Module

The GPS08 Module (included in the kit) connected via CAN makes lap time calculation and track position analysis very easy. Each Aim memory stores more than 200 world tracks start/finish line coordinates. As soon the dash/logger is switched on, the GPS08 Module will locate its position, identify track-line coordinates and start immediately sampling lap and split time.

If the track is not included in the database, it is always possible to add the start/finish line coordinates to the Aim MXL2 via PC before going to the track, using the Race Studio 3 – Track Manager software.

Second CAN

An innovative feature is the CAN 2 line, managing data coming from your additional modules (i.e. ABS, traction control, infrared temperature sensors and more) This feature meets the requirements of a growing number of racers, as the use of additional modules is becoming quite common in a number of series.

Internal Accelerometer and Gyro

The internal three-axial accelerometer and the gyroscope provide a very powerful array of information. These force and motion sensors enable you to quantify the dynamic characteristics of your vehicle. Measuring acceleration forces and gyro rates can assist in determining how to improve your vehicle performances.

Math Channels

You immediately get Math Channels values. The dash logger can be configured to display those values (i.e. brake bias, calculated gear) in real time.
