What Is A Car PDM?
A car power distribution module (PDM) is an advanced electronic system designed to manage and distribute electrical power across different components in a vehicle. PDMs replace traditional fuse and relay systems with solid-state technology, providing greater control, reliability and flexibility.
PDMs are typically used to control and monitor various systems like lights, fuel pumps, fans and more. They offer programmable control of power outputs, often integrating with other data systems to provide detailed insights into electrical performance and system status. These devices are essential for race cars, high-performance street cars and custom builds, where managing power efficiently is critical for performance, safety and reliability.
Car PDM Features
- Solid-state power distribution: Car PDMs use solid-state relays to manage electrical circuits, eliminating the need for traditional fuses and mechanical relays, which can wear out over time.
- Customisable outputs: Many PDMs offer programmable outputs that allow users to control different circuits individually, adapting the power distribution to specific racing or performance needs.
- Data logging and monitoring: Advanced PDMs can log and monitor electrical system performance, offering real time diagnostics and alerts for issues like current overloads, circuit faults or low voltage.
- Compact and lightweight design: Modern PDMs are designed to be compact and lightweight, making them ideal for race cars and custom builds where space and weight are important considerations.

What Are The Differences Between Our Car PDMs?
We stock a selection of high-performance car PDMs designed to provide the ultimate in power distribution flexibility and control for racing and performance applications. However, they each serve different purposes:
- PDM32: This model is designed for more complex setups, with 32 configurable power outputs. It includes 28 high-side outputs and 4 half-bridge outputs, making it suitable for high-performance racing applications that require managing numerous circuits.
- PDM08: The PDM08 is a more compact option, featuring 8 high-side power outputs and handling a maximum continuous current of 100A. This model is ideal for smaller or simpler setups, where fewer circuits need to be managed.
- MXSL Dash Display: An integrated power dash display that connects seamlessly with Aim PDMs, providing essential telemetry and control for race cars. It offers a streamlined interface for monitoring power distribution and other critical information.
- 5 & 6″ PDM Displays: These displays are ideal for compact setups, offering 5 status LEDs, 10 shift light LEDs and a customisable display to show only the most important data in real time.
- 10″ PDM Display: The largest in the range, the 10 inch display offers a high resolution screen with and six status LEDs. It’s ideal for those needing maximum visibility and detailed information during a race.
